Bermuda Real CEO Ceola Wilson Laid to Rest as Tributes Pour In at St. Paul’s AME Church Service Officiated by Nicholas Genevieve Tweed

Hamilton, Bermuda — The community gathered solemnly at St. Paul’s AME Church, on the corner of Court and Victoria Street, to bid farewell to Bermuda Real CEO Ceola Bernice Wilson, whose fearless voice and tenacious spirit helped shape independent media in Bermuda.

The homegoing service was officiated by Reverend Nicholas Genevieve Tweed, who later delivered a powerful and heartfelt eulogy chronicling both his own journey and that of Ceola’s — highlighting her brilliance, resilience, unapologetic reporting style, and unwavering commitment to speaking truth without fear or favor.

Tributes poured in from national figures and close colleagues alike. Pass Premier The Honorable Dr. Ewart Brown and Sherri J. Reading offered reflections on her professional impact and personal warmth. A tribute from Mr. David Ferbert, one of Bermuda Real’s sponsors, was read by former Bermuda Broadcasting CEO Rick Richardson. TNN’s Trevor Lindsay shared words as both colleague and friend, alongside longtime friend and barrister Victoria Perinchief.

A moving video presentation, produced by TNN and Channel 82, captured defining moments of her life and legacy, drawing both tears and applause from the packed sanctuary of friends, family, supporters, and her beloved only son.

In life, she was bold. In reporting, she pulled no punches. In friendship, she was loyal.

Bermuda says farewell.

Rest in peace, our good friend.
